Northumberland Parade Guide | PENNINGTON'S PERSPECTIVE


It’s hard to believe but the holidays are just the corner! One of the best things about life in Northumberland is that when it comes to celebrating the holiday season, there is no shortage of parades, events, and festivities throughout our towns and villages. The hard part is knowing when and where everything is taking place! With that in mind, I’ve created your one-stop Northumberland County Parade Guide.  

Brighton Christmas Parade - Friday, November 16, 2018 at 7:00pm. The parade season kicks off this season in Brighton! Their evening parade at 7:00 pm down Main Street so grab a hot chocolate and head on down to Brighton to see the downtown light up with Holiday Spirit!  

Cobourg Santa Claus Parade - Sunday, November 18th at 2:00 pm.  Ontario’s Feel Good Town of Cobourg is celebrating their 63rd year with an international/multicultural Christmas theme!  Below is a link to the parade information and route: 

Port Hope Santa Claus Parade - Saturday, November 24th at 1:00 pm. Rudolf leads Port Hope’s parade down Walton Street. Port Hope’s downtown comes alive during the holiday season, and you’ll be hard pressed to find a more beautiful downtown during the holiday season. Here is a link for more information and the parade route

Colborne Santa Claus Parade - Saturday, November 24th at 7:00 pm.  The parade route begins at the corner of Elgin & King street and will end at Victoria Park with Santa Claus will be at the gazebo to give out goodies to all the kids. Don't forget to bring your Christmas List for Santa!  

Warkworth Santa Claus Parade - Friday, December 7th 7:00 pm. The quiet village of Warkworth lights up for their evening Santa Claus Parade. The simple village setting is ideal for a picturesque parade of lights along their main street.
