Are you missing the market?
If your property is not listed on the Toronto Real Estate
Board, then you just might be. Northumberland is seeing an influx of Toronto based
Realtors representing buyers and sellers in Northumberland. Last year 23% of
sales processed through the Northumberland Hills Association of Realtors (Northumberland
Hills) were completed by Realtors who are not members of Northumberland. .
What does this mean for consumers? Simple: if your property
is listed with Realtor who is only a member of Northumberland Hills, your
listing is only being marketed to local Realtors who represent just 77% of our
market. You could be missing out on 23% of potential buyers for your property. Conversely,
if you list your property with a Realtor who is only a member of the Toronto
Real Estate Board, you could be missing out on exposure to local Realtors and
local buyers. In order to maximize exposure I believe your property should be
listed on both the Northumberland Hills and Toronto Real Estate Boards.
Presently there are only a small number of Brokerages that enable their
Realtors to be list properties on both boards. RE/MAX Rouge River Realty Inc. is
one of those Brokerages. By listing your property with RE/MAX Rouge, you’re maximizing
the exposure of your listing to not only the 150 members of Northumberland Hills
but also to the over 48,000 Realtors of the Toronto Real Estate Board.
When preparing to list your home and interviewing Realtors,
your first question should be if they are a member of both the Northumberland
Hills Association of Realtors and the Toronto Real Estate Board? Why? Because,
if they are not a member of both Boards, your listing might only be exposed to
a portion of the market. When it comes to selling your biggest investment, is
that a risk you’re willing to take?
